My 5 Must Visit Family Holiday Destinations

My Five Must Visit Family Holiday Destinations

It was two years ago that we were on our last family holiday. We went to Lanzarote for a week with my family. It was nice, but it wasn’t my favourite holiday of all time so it got me thinking of where I would go…

My Top 5 Family Holiday Destinations

5 – LEGOLAND Windsor.

Oliver is a big Lego fan, and I think it would be really cool to go to LEGOLAND, I’m just not sure what else we would do in the area. I mean, unless the Queen was at Windsor Castle, we could call in for tea?

4 – Centre Parcs.

We visited Centre Parcs when I was young and I can’t remember much about it, but I have lots of friends who’ve been on recent years and they all love it. We’re not the biggest “outdoors” fans but I think a few days away, a cosy lodge and lots of fresh air would really refresh us. The only downside to this is the cost, Centre Parks in the school holidays is so expensive, we could go abroad for not much more!

3 – Spain.

I’m not fussy, but somewhere warm and not too far away would be a great first holiday destination for our family of four, don’t you think? The flight times to places like the Costa del Sol aren’t too long, and the weather isn’t too hot for Oliver and Grace. I would love to go somewhere with good children’s activities, a warm pool and good (all inclusive) food to break us into family holidays.

2 – Disneyland Paris.

We took Oliver to Disneyland Paris a couple of years ago and we had such a lovely time. He was really brave going on the rides even though he didn’t enjoy too many of them (anyone else taken their children on Crush’s Coaster?) but he loved meeting all the characters and was so taken in my the magic. He was just 6 at the time, and we did such long days but he was an absolute star. I can’t wait until Grace is a little bit older and we can go back as a family of four… Princess experiences please!!

1 – Florida.

I visited Florida when I was 18 and it was AMAZING. I’d love to go back and revisit Disney World and Universal Studios. Dan and Oliver really want to do all the Marvel stuff and I know we would all have a great time at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. And now a Star Wars Land is opening at Walt Disney World next year I know I’ll have no trouble encouraging Dan to the Disney parks.
