TV Time

This past week or so we have tried some new and old shows.

In preparation for Game of Thrones returning soon we’ve gone back to rewatch the whole lot, I love it so much. It is totally our favourite show, so much so that we took it as a bit of a theme for our wedding back in 2014! We are currently part way through Season Two (tonight is The Old Gods and The New), and I find myself waiting for newer episodes when it all gets really exciting and stressful, but I’ll only be sad when we’re done. Gutted there’s only two Seasons left but I’m so excited to see what is going to play out in the fight for the Iron Throne. I wouldn’t be interested in it, it looks super uncomfortable… I’d be all “bring me a cushion!”

We have also tried Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events from Netflix. I’ve seen the film advertised on there and Sky quite a lot in the past but never watched it so didn’t know what it was all about, but Dan agreed to give the series a go. It’s an odd one, I like it, but it’s very weird. A million miles away from Barney Stinson for Neil Patrick Harris – proof of what a good actor he is. I don’t think I’ve seen him in anything else though…?

Finally, this afternoon I watched the first episode of Apple Tree Yard, which I think may have finished now or is soon to, from BBC1. It was gripping, full of secrets and twists, I can’t wait to see what comes next! I would definitely recommend having a look at it on iplayer/on demand if you can, I hope the rest of the series lives up to this first episode, I think its going to deal with some difficult issues though.

GoT aside, have you watched these? What are your thoughts and do you have any recommendations of other shows to watch, new or old?
